El base argentino Facundo Campazzo sufrió una lesión condral, en el cartílago de una de sus articulaciones, y será sometido a una artroscopia. Con el objetivo de recuperarse sin intervención ya se había perdido los últimos seis partidos, cuatro por liga ACB y dos por Euroliga. Sin embargo, como las dolencias continuaron, decidieron intervenirlo.

El plazo de recuperación es de entre tres y cuatro semanas, por lo que no solo estará ausente en los partidos por liga durante ese tiempo, sino que también lo estará en toda la primera serie de Playoffs de la Euroliga. Este martes 17 el Real Madrid comenzará los cuartos de final frente al Panathinaikos que, de ser necesario por resultado de la serie, se extenderán hasta el 1 de mayo.

Pablo Laso, entrenador del equipo madrileño, fue quien aclaró la lesión y los plazos de recuperación de Campazzo, una de las piezas más importantes, junto con el joven talento esloveno Luka Doncic: “Se ha intentado recuperar a Facundo pensando en lo que teníamos por delante, pero nos vemos obligados realizarle una artroscopia. No sé si serán tres o cuatro semanas, pero esperemos que lo menos posible”.
