Colder weather spreading into northern and central Europe over the coming days

Thursday
Dry for most of Spain and Portugal on Thursday. There will be some cloud and outbreaks of rain in the north though. Dry in the rest of the central Mediterranean area with some good spells of sunshine across Italy. Greece and Turkey should be fine too with more sunny spells to come here.
Rain and strong winds in northern and western France. The Low Countries and Germany should be dry with good spells of sunshine. Fair in Switzerland and Austria and well as Hungary. Southern and eastern France should be dry with sunny spells here.
Windy with rain in Denmark, especially the north. Rain and cloud as well as strong winds for the Baltic States. Rain and snow arriving in Finland, gales here too. Breezy for Sweden with sunny spells and scattered showers. Cloud and strong winds in western Norway, rain, sleet and snow here too.

Friday
Rain affecting much of northern Spain on Sunday. More southern areas will be dry with good spells of sunshine. Chilly in the Balearics with some showers here. Wet and breezy for the north of Italy with rain and showers at times, although drier to the south. Greece and Turkey should be dry with good spells of sunshine throughout.
A cold day in France with sunshine and wintry showers spreading south, breezy too. Cold and windy for the low Countries and Germany with heavy snow showers at times. Chilly too for Poland with wintry showers in the north. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland will have cloud, rain and snow as well as strong winds
Denmark will be cold with frequent snow showers in the west but the east should be dry. The Baltic States will have a sunny spells but they should be dry. Finland will be windy with sunny spells and a few showers. Cold for Sweden but dry with gales and heavy snow showers or longer spells of snow affecting Norway.
